Haaland's in it. Of course he is but here's the bit nobody's putting on the graphic: his Destined for Glory card starts at the exact same 91 as the gold you can already buy. The real story in Team 2 is further down the list.

The straight answer: FC 27 Destined for Glory Team 2 is expected on Friday 2 October 2026 at 6 PM BST. The leaked 15-player squad is led by Erling Haaland (91 ST), with Kadidiatou Diani and Dayot Upamecano (88), then Linda Caicedo and Marc Cucurella (87).

Every card is a Live item that can gain up to +2 OVR from real domestic league goals, assists or clean sheets. EA counts those from 25 September 2026. None of this is confirmed until the cards hit packs. That's the squad. The rest of this post is the maths: how big each boost really is, which cards will actually upgrade, and the names half the internet has got wrong.

When Does FC 27 Destined for Glory Team 2 Release?

FC 27 DFG Team 2 is expected to release on Friday 2 October 2026 at 6 PM BST, exactly one week after Team 1. That's the date Insider Gaming reported alongside the Team 2 leak, and it matches the weekly Friday rhythm Team 1 launched on. Team 1 went live on 25 September, FC 27's global launch day, per Insider Gaming's Team 1 report. So expect Team 2 in packs from 2 to 9 October.

FC 27 Destined for Glory Team 2 Leaked Players and Ratings

The Team 2 leak has 15 players: Haaland at 91, Diani and Upamecano at 88, Caicedo and Cucurella at 87, and ten more cards between 85 and 86. The full squad was leaked by ASY FUT on X, as Insider Gaming credited.

Here's the bit the leak graphics don't show you. I've lined every card up against its gold rating in EA's official FC 27 database, so you can see how much each one actually got boosted.

Where there's a range, the leak versions disagree. Early graphics had Mbeumo at 85, and later versions show 86. Lookman and Gordon have also swapped between 85 and 86. Treat every number here as leaked until the cards drop.

Why do the positions in some Team 2 leaks look different?

Because different write-ups of the same leak list different positions, and the position decides how the card upgrades. One widely shared version had McKennie at CDM, Gordon at ST and Cresswell at LB. EA's own database has them as a CM, an LW and a CB.

That's not a nitpick. A CDM upgrades on clean sheets. A CM upgrades on goals and assists. If McKennie drops as a CM, his upgrade path depends on Juventus' attacking output, not their defence. The squad table uses the positions that match each player's gold card in EA's database.

How Do Destined for Glory Upgrades Work in FC 27?

DFG cards upgrade from real-world domestic league performances in the 2026/27 season, up to a maximum of +2 OVR. Attackers and midfielders level up on combined goals and assists. Defenders and CDMs level up on clean sheets.

Did DFG upgrade tracking start on 18 or 25 September?

25 September. That's what EA's official campaign page says. Several pre-launch guides still say 18 September, the early-access date. Go with EA's date.

It matters more than it sounds. The 2026/27 Premier League kicked off on 21 August, per Wikipedia's season page. So roughly the first five league matchdays don't count towards any Team 2 card. Haaland's early-season goals are already banked in real life, and they won't upgrade his card.

Is Destined for Glory Haaland Worth It in FC 27?

Only if you're buying the upgrades, not the card you get on day one. Leaked DFG Haaland is a 91 ST, the same overall as his gold. The difference at launch is +1 Pace, +2 Passing and +1 Dribbling 89 PHY. 

Gold stats from Haaland's FC 27 ratings page on EA. His gold card was trading at around 154k on PlayStation on FUTBIN at the time of writing. That price moves daily.

So why would you pay extra? Because Haaland is the safest upgrade bet in the whole promo. He hit 44, 32, 25 and 35 Premier League goals plus assists in his four seasons at City, according to NBC Sports' Haaland career stats.

The 20 needed for his final upgrade has never been a stretch.

My verdict: DFG Haaland should hit his first upgrade fast and has a realistic shot at 93 by spring. If you just want a finisher for this week, the gold does nearly the same job for less.

Which FC 27 Destined for Glory Team 2 Cards Are Actually Worth Your Coins?

The best-value Team 2 cards are the 85-rated ones that got +5 or more, especially McKennie, and the pacey wide cards like Caicedo and Gordon. Haaland and Upamecano are the premium picks, but their boosts over gold are small.

Destined for Glory Team 1 vs Team 2: What's Different?

Team 2 has a more physical headline striker and a stronger centre-back group than Team 1. Both squads use the same DFG upgrade rules. Team 1 was led by Mbappé (91), with Nuno Mendes (89) and Isak and Harder (88), per Insider Gaming's Team 1 leak.

If you were hunting Mbeumo or Mateus Fernandes in Team 1, that's why you didn't find them. Pre-launch coverage from RealSport101 listed both among the first confirmed DFG faces. Both now appear in the Team 2 leak instead.

Will Destined for Glory Team 2 Have SBCs or Objectives?

Probably, but no Team 2 SBC or objective players have leaked yet. The Team 2 leak only covers the 15 pack cards.

Team 1 followed that pattern. RealSport101's Team 1 SBC and objective leaks included Antonio Nusa, Renato Veiga and Davide Frattesi, with Michut and Mito also mentioned. Expect something similar for Team 2, but wait until it's in-game before you plan around it.
