EA FC 27 Web App: Release Time, Requirements and How to Start Your Ultimate Team
Every launch date, who can actually log in tomorrow, what's changed in FUT, and the boring day-one plan that wins your season
Tomorrow evening, 6pm UK time, the FC 27 Web App opens and a frightening number of you are going to log in, rip open every pack you own, quick-sell the bits you don't recognise, and then spend the rest of September wondering why you're filled with bronze & silver cards while everyone else is running an 85-rated side.
Here's the short answer. The FC 27 Web App launches on 16 September at 17:00 UTC, which is 6pm in the UK. To get in, you need an Ultimate Team club you created in FC 26 before 1 August 2026, on an account that still exists and is in good standing. And on day one, you sell. You don't buy. I know that last bit because I did the opposite last year. I'll come back to exactly what I did, because it was genuinely stupid and I've not forgiven myself for it.
- Web App: 16 September, 17:00 UTC. Companion App: 17 September, 17:00 UTC.
- You need an FC 26 Ultimate Team club created before 1 August 2026.
- Day one is a selling day. The market is thin and prices are at their highest.
- The FUT Gallery remembers every card, even ones you've discarded or used in SBCs.
- Most SBCs now run on a points score. Duplicates count, and progress saves.
- Season 1: Ones to Watch starts 17 September. The cards are earned, not packed.
When Does The FC 27 Web App Release?
16 September at 17:00 UTC, so 6pm in the UK. The Companion App follows a day later at the same time.
There's a handful of dates floating about and people keep turning up on the wrong one, so here they all are. EA confirmed every one of them in the launch Pitch Notes, so there's no guesswork this time.
- 16 September, 17:00 UTC — Web App
6pm in the UK. Browser only. This is the one that matters tomorrow.
- 17 September, 17:00 UTC — Companion App
Same time, a day later, on your phone instead of your browser. Season 1: Ones to Watch also begins on the 17th.
- 17 September, 23:00 UTC — PC early access
Ultimate Edition on PC unlocks, alongside the full game for EA Play Pro members.
- 18 September, midnight local — console early access
Ultimate Edition early access on every other platform, at 00:00 in your own time zone.
- 18 September, 04:00 UTC — EA Play trial
The 10-hour trial for EA Play members opens.
- 24 and 25 September — full launch
PC on 24 September at 23:00 UTC, every other platform on the 25th at midnight local.
So between the Web App opening and the first console kick-off, you get roughly thirty hours of Ultimate Team with the pitch still empty. That's the bit people underrate. A full day and more of market, SBCs and squad building before anyone plays a single game.
Who Can Access The FC 27 Web App?
Only players with an FC 26 Ultimate Team club created before 1 August 2026. Right, this one's important and it's going to annoy a few of you.
| Requirement | Status |
|---|---|
| FC 26 Ultimate Team club created before 1 August 2026 | Required |
| EA account still exists | Required |
| Account in good standing, no bans | Required |
Logging in to FC 26 wasn't enough on its own. The club had to actually exist before the deadline, the account can't have been deleted, and it has to be clean. As far as anyone can tell, it's there to stop bot accounts flooding the market on day one, and there's no sweet-talking it.
If you skipped FC 26, or you made a fresh account in the last few weeks, you're not getting in tomorrow. You're waiting for the game itself. Not the end of the world. But if that's you, don't sit refreshing the page at 6pm thinking the servers are broken. They're not. It's you. Sorry.
- Log into your EA account and make sure you actually know the password. You'd be amazed.
- Check your two-step verification still points at a phone or email you can reach.
- Confirm it's the same EA account your FC 26 club lives on.
- Have a rough idea of your club name before 6pm, so you're not deciding under pressure.
What I Got Wrong Last Year
Here it is then.
Last year I logged in on Web App day, opened everything I had, and immediately bought players. Proper players. The ones I'd decided months earlier I was going to start the year with.Paid a fortune for them. Day-one prices, peak hype. Nobody's got any coins and nobody's listed anything yet, so the market is the thinnest and most expensive it will be all year.
Two weeks later those same cards had dropped through the floor as packs flooded in and the player base caught up. I'd turned a decent starting bank into a mid-table squad and a lesson.
Day one is a selling day. Not a buying day.
Buying on day one What I did
Thinnest market of the year. Highest prices. Every card you buy is at its most expensive, and most of them will be worth a lot less in October.
Selling on day one What to do
Everyone wants cards and nobody has them. Gold rares, decent silvers, anything vaguely usable is at its peak price while there's nothing else to buy.
Everything you pull out of a pack tomorrow is, on average, worth more tomorrow than it will be in October. List it while the market's starving then sit on your coins and be boring for a fortnight. Boring wins this game. It's never once been fun advice and it's never once been wrong.
What's Changed In FC 27 Ultimate Team?
Three big things, and two of them land in your very first session. FUT has had its biggest structural rework in years, which is why this isn't just last year's checklist again.
The FUT Gallery
This replaces the way you've thought about your club forever. It keeps a record of every player item you've collected.
And here's the important part: it remembers them even after they've left your club, whether you discarded them or fed them into an SBC.
You group cards into Sets by league, club or campaign, with more than 100 Sets at launch. Those Sets push up your Gallery Level and earn Gallery Tokens. Tokens buy club crests, kits and base Hall of FUT items from the Gallery Token Store, with no pack luck involved at all. Putting a player in the Gallery doesn't use him up. He's still yours, still playable, still sellable. So there's no reason not to be filing cards in from minute one.
Streamlined SBCs
The chemistry-and-positions puzzle is gone for most of them.
Each player item now has a score based on rating and rarity, and you just submit cards until you hit the target.
Duplicates are allowed and partial progress saves, so you can chuck half a squad in, go away, and finish it later.
| Traditional | Streamlined | |
|---|---|---|
| What you're solving | Chemistry, positions, item types | A points target |
| Duplicates | No | Allowed |
| Partial progress | One submission | Saves |
| Used for | Puzzle-style Challenge SBCs | Most Player and Upgrade SBCs |
| Fodder value | Depends on the chemistry fit | Rating and rarity |
Which changes your fodder maths completely. Cheap gold fodder isn't a chemistry problem anymore, it's just points. So don't panic-sell everything low-rated tomorrow before you've seen what the opening SBCs are asking for. The old puzzle format still exists for certain challenges, so you're not losing it entirely. You're just not doing it eleven times a week.
Season 1: Ones to Watch
Season 1 is themed around Ones to Watch and runs from 17 September to 22 October. OTW items come through the Season Pass, with select players also available through SBCs and Objectives.
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| Season dates | 17 September to 22 October |
| Rated below 83 | Boosted to 83 |
| Pace | At least 60 |
| Roles | All Role++ in position |
| Where from | Earned, not packed |
Read that again. They're earned, not packed. Which means gambling your entire starting bank on packs, hoping for a big OTW, is not the play this year. It's a route that mostly doesn't exist.
What Should You Do First In The FC 27 Web App?
Sell, file and wait. Keep it simple. It's not glamorous and it takes about forty minutes.
- Log in the second it opens
Get your club name sorted while the good ones are still going.
- Open your pre-order and loyalty packs
Everything you're owed, straight away.
- Sell anything usable on the market
Not quick-sell. Sell. The market is starving and it won't be for long.
- File what you're keeping into Gallery Sets
It costs you nothing, and the Gallery keeps the record even after the card's gone.
- Check the opening SBCs before dumping fodder
Low-rated cards are points now. See what the targets want first.
- Buy nothing you don't have to
Seriously. Nothing.
That's it. That's the whole session and if you've never done this before, don't wing it off six steps from a bloke on the internet. Our beginner's guide to your first FC 27 squad walks through the squad-building side properly.
The full FUT changes guide covers everything the Gallery and the new SBCs have done to the mode.
If you'd rather go into October with a bigger bank, ready for when prices settle, you can top up with FC 27 Coins, with a 72-hour money-back guarantee on every order. We've been doing this since 2017 and sit at 4.7 out of 5 from around 1,768 Trustpilot reviews.
Keep the bragging rights.
60 hours of grinding? No thanks. Coin delivery starts instantly, backed by 100K+ players and a 72h money-back guarantee.
What time does the FC 27 Web App release?
The FC 27 Web App releases on 16 September 2026 at 17:00 UTC, which is 6pm in the UK. The Companion App follows on 17 September at 17:00 UTC.
Who can access the FC 27 Web App early?
You need an Ultimate Team club created in FC 26 before 1 August 2026, on an EA account that still exists and is in good standing with no bans. Logging in to FC 26 alone wasn't enough; the club itself had to exist before the deadline.
What if I don't meet the Web App requirements?
You won't get early access to the Web App or Companion App. They open to everyone once the full game launches, so you'll need to wait for your early access or the worldwide release instead.
When does FC 27 early access start?
Ultimate Edition early access starts on PC on 17 September at 23:00 UTC, and on every other platform on 18 September at 00:00 local time. The EA Play 10-hour trial opens on 18 September at 04:00 UTC.
When is the FC 27 full release date?
FC 27 launches worldwide on PC on 24 September at 23:00 UTC, and on all other platforms on 25 September at 00:00 local time.
What is the FUT Gallery in FC 27?
The FUT Gallery is a new collection system that records every player item you've owned, including ones you've discarded or used in SBCs. Cards grouped into Sets raise your Gallery Level and earn Gallery Tokens, which buy club crests, kits and base Hall of FUT items. Adding a card to the Gallery doesn't consume it.
How do Streamlined SBCs work in FC 27?
Streamlined SBCs replace chemistry and position requirements with a points target. Each item scores based on its rating and rarity, duplicates count, and partial progress saves across submissions. Traditional puzzle-style SBCs still exist for some challenges.
Are FC 27 Ones to Watch cards in packs?
No. Season 1: Ones to Watch runs from 17 September to 22 October, with items earned through the Season Pass and select players available through SBCs and Objectives. Any OTW item rated below 83 is boosted to 83, with at least 60 Pace and all Role++ in position.
Should I buy or sell players on Web App day?
Sell. The transfer market is at its thinnest and most expensive on day one, so usable cards from your packs are usually worth more then than they will be a few weeks later. Holding your coins until prices settle has historically been the stronger move.
One Last Thing
The lads who finish the year with the squad you're jealous of aren't the ones who had the best Web App session they're the ones who had the most boring one.
Boring wins this game. It's never once been fun advice and it's never once been wrong.
They sold, they sat on their coins, they let the market do its thing for a fortnight, and they bought in October when everyone else had already spent everything in September. I know this. I've known it for about six years.
And there's still a decent chance I log in tomorrow at 6pm, see a 91-rated Haaland on the market, and do something daft anyway.
Tell me you won't do the same. Go on. Lie to me.
