FC 27 Hall of FUT Ratings Revealed: The "Hall of Fame" Cards Are Finally Official

All 21 base cards, why every one is an 84 or 85, and the 96-pace Walcott that's going to ruin your first fortnight

You spent all summer calling them the Hall of Fame cards. So did the leakers. So did we, back when the leaks first landed and everyone got a bit carried away about an 89-rated Pato.

EA just made it official. And the first thing they did was change the name on you.

The FC 27 Hall of FUT ratings are in, all 21 base cards, and here's the short version. It's a brand-new special item built for FUT cult heroes, it sits next to ICONs and Heroes, and every card in the first wave is rated either 84 or 85. Not the endgame monsters the leaks had you dreaming about. Nostalgia cards. Really specific, really fun nostalgia cards, and a few of them are genuinely worth a slot on day one. Let me take you through it properly, because the rating is the least interesting thing about half of these.

So What The Hell Is Hall of FUT, And Why Isn't It Called Hall of Fame?

Because "Hall of Fame" was the working name the leaks ran with, and EA landed on Hall of FUT for the actual release. Same concept, different label. Here's the concept in one line. It's a third pillar of legend cards, and the whole point is FUT fame, not football fame.

ICONs

The all-time greats. Football fame, world-class careers, the names your dad brings up.

Heroes

The mad real-world career, or one unforgettable season at one club.

Hall of FUT

Legendary inside Ultimate Team. One broken stat, one card you never binned.

Hall of FUT is for the players whose cards you kept coming back to season after season because of one ridiculous stat or one run in behind that never stopped working. EA confirmed the first batch through official channels, and the pitch is basically this: these players earned an item because of what their cards meant to you.

Think Gervinho pace merchant. Think Akinfenwa bullying centre backs off the ball. Think the exact card that carried your team through FIFA 15. The artwork's a black-and-red fractured design, clearly its own thing, sat between a Hero and an ICON without pretending to be either.Whether you love that EA's now got three separate legend tiers to sell you is a separate conversation.

As a nostalgia idea, on its own, it's a good one.

Every FC 27 Hall of FUT Card And Rating

EA revealed the full 21-player inaugural class on September 1. Nine cards come in at 85, twelve at 84. Here's the lot.

If you're looking at that list going "these are just retired players," yeah. That's the point.

Most of them were in the game as regular cards not long ago. Florenzi was a live player in EA Sports FC 25. This isn't a legends-of-the-90s squad. It's a "remember your old FUT team" squad. And the rating is deliberately low so it doesn't blow up launch balance. Which brings me to the bit that actually matters.

What's The Best FC 27 Hall of FUT Card?

There isn't one "best," and that's not a cop-out, it's how EA built it. Nine cards share the top 85 rating, so the real answer is: it depends what job you need doing, because the single standout stats are where these cards live.

Quick tour of the ones that'll actually get used.

The Pace Merchants Launch meta

Walcott 96. Gervinho 94. Błaszczykowski, Doumbia and Ibarbo all on 93.

Nobody's 84-rated backline is dealing with this in week one.

The Bullies and Finishers Situational

Balotelli 87 Shooting. Hulk on Power Shot+. Fellaini 90 Physical. Akinfenwa 88 Physical.

Different tool, same launch-window

damage.

Walcott is the fastest thing in the class at 96 Pace. Ninety-six. On an 85-rated card at launch. He's got Rapid+ on top of it, which in plain terms means you're getting a launch-window speed card that most starter squads simply cannot deal with. The pace tier below him is stacked too: Gervinho at 94, then Błaszczykowski, Doumbia and Ibarbo all sitting on 93.If you played FIFA 15, your eye just twitched. Good.

That's the nostalgia landing exactly where EA aimed it.

The overall is the boring number. The one elite stat plus the PlayStyle+ is the actual card.

Balotelli leads the shooting at 87, with Hulk right behind on power and his signature Power Shot+, and Pato on 85 with Quick Step+ to get him there first. Guarín's the sneaky one. An 84-rated CM carrying 85 Shooting and Power Shot+, which is a genuinely weird and useful profile for a launch central mid.

Akinfenwa. 88 Physical, 36 Defending. I'm not going to pretend that's a meta card. But it's the most Akinfenwa card EA could've possibly made, and with Enforcer+ he'll bully every 84-rated backline in the game for the first two weeks.

Fellaini's the other physical monster, 90 Physical with Precision Header+ from midfield, and he's the joint-highest-rated of the original five inaugural players.

Theo Walcott 85 rated FC 27 Hall of FUT card with 96 pace and Rapid PlusTheo Walcott 85 Hall of FUT Card

Adebayo Akinfenwa 84 rated FC 27 Hall of FUT card with 88 physical and Enforcer PlusAdebayo Akinfenwa 84 Hall of FUT card

The through-line: don't read the 84 or the 85 and move on. Every card carries a PlayStyle+ tuned to the exact thing that made the original famous.

Wasn't This Supposed To Be Way Better?

If you followed the leaks, yeah, it looks a bit deflating on paper. This is the honest bit. The pre-release stuff had people expecting endgame-tier items. Our own Hall of Fame leaks piece had a Pato floating around at 89 rated with 93 Pace. The official Pato? 85. That's a four-overall gap between the hype and the card.

So no, the base wave isn't going to sit in your endgame squad in March but that's not EA getting it wrong, it's EA pricing the nostalgia on purpose.

Drop 21 legend-flavoured cards at 88+ in week one and you flatten the entire launch economy. Land them at 84 to 85 and they're fun, usable, and safely below the 91-rated Haalands and Mbappés sitting at the top of the FC 27 base ratings. The base card is the starting line, not the finish. EA's also confirmed special, upgraded Hall of FUT versions are coming later through Campaigns. Release dates and ratings for those aren't confirmed yet, so treat anything you see quoted on them as a leak until EA says otherwise.

That's where the real power lives. This wave is the door, not the room.

How Do You Actually Get The FC 27 Hall of FUT Cards?

Two routes at launch, one guaranteed and one grindable, plus a third coming later.

  • Route one — the Ultimate Plus pick

The FC 27 Ultimate Plus Edition comes with a 1-of-5 Player Pick from the five inaugural members: Akinfenwa, Fellaini, Rémy, Elia or dos Santos. Your choice, one of them, untradeable.

  • Route two — Gallery Tokens

Base items live in the new FUT Gallery. Complete and grade Gallery Sets to earn Tokens, then spend them in the Gallery Store on the cards you want. EA says the store updates across the year.

  • Route three — Campaign upgrades

Upgraded Hall of FUT versions arrive later through Campaigns. Not live yet, and no confirmed ratings or dates. Treat any numbers you see as a leak.

If you're taking the Ultimate Plus pick, the choice basically splits three ways, and two of them are close enough to need a tiebreak.

Want the 85?

Take Fellaini. Physical Premier League CM, 90 Physical, Precision Header+.

Safest pick

Want the 91 Pace?

Rémy is the cleaner finisher. Elia is the better dribbler. That's the whole split.

Speed route

No packs-only wall, no single 80k SBC gate at launch. If you play, you earn Tokens, you pick your cult hero. Fair enough. Worth knowing how the rest of that system works before you start grinding Sets, and we've broken the whole thing down in the FC 27 Ultimate Team guide.

Are The Hall of FUT Cards Actually Worth It?

Verdict: worth chasing at launch, not worth stressing over long-term. Get one you'll enjoy, don't build your endgame around it. For a starter squad in the first fortnight, a 96-pace Walcott or an 87-shooting Balotelli is a properly strong shout.

Everyone around you is running 82-rated gold, and these things have one genuinely elite tool plus a PlayStyle+ on top. For a two-months-in squad, they're fodder-adjacent. That's just what an 84 to 85 launch card is, and it's fine, because you didn't pay a premium for it.

If you do want to build a proper nostalgia XI around one of these at launch, the thing that actually holds it together is chemistry. Chemistry needs a squad, and a squad needs coins. If you'd rather skip the grind and get building day one, you can buy FC 27 Coins and shape the rest of the team around your Hall of FUT pick, with a 72-hour money-back guarantee on the order.

We've been running this since 2017, currently sitting at 4.7 out of 5 from around 1,768 Trustpilot reviews, so it's not a leap of faith and if you're brand new to all this, the beginner's guide to your first FC 27 squad covers the chemistry basics first.

FAQ :

What is Hall of FUT in FC 27?

Hall of FUT is a new special item type in FC 27 Ultimate Team, sitting alongside ICONs and Heroes as a third legend tier. It celebrates players who became legendary inside Ultimate Team itself rather than for their real-world careers, with 21 base cards in the inaugural class rated 84 or 85.

Why was Hall of Fame renamed to Hall of FUT?

Hall of Fame was only ever the working name the leaks used before release. EA settled on Hall of FUT for the official launch. Same concept and same card type, just a different label than the one the community had been using all summer.

What is the best FC 27 Hall of FUT card?

Theo Walcott at 85 overall with 96 Pace and Rapid+ is the standout for launch, because raw speed beats everything in the first fortnight. Balotelli leads shooting at 87, Fellaini brings 90 Physical from midfield, and Guarin is the sleeper with 85 Shooting on an 84-rated CM.

How many Hall of FUT cards are in FC 27?

Twenty-one base cards were revealed on September 1 for the inaugural class. Nine of them are rated 85 and the other twelve are rated 84. EA has confirmed upgraded Campaign versions will follow later in the cycle.

How do you get Hall of FUT cards in FC 27?

There are two routes at launch. The Ultimate Plus Edition includes a 1-of-5 Player Pick from Akinfenwa, Fellaini, Remy, Elia and dos Santos. Everyone else earns them by completing and grading FUT Gallery Sets for Gallery Tokens, then spending those Tokens in the Gallery Store.

Are Hall of FUT cards worth it?

They are worth chasing in the first two weeks, when one elite stat plus a PlayStyle+ dominates squads full of 82-rated gold. Past that they become fodder-adjacent, so treat the base wave as a fun launch card rather than an endgame investment.

Will Hall of FUT cards get upgrades?

Yes. EA has confirmed special upgraded Hall of FUT versions are coming later through Campaigns. No release dates or ratings have been confirmed for those yet, so treat any numbers circulating now as unverified leaks.

Final Whistle

That's the whole reveal. New tier, 21 cards, nine 85s, one ridiculous 96-pace Walcott, and a name change nobody asked for. The base wave isn't the endgame and it was never meant to be. Grab the one that makes you feel something, use it while it's good, and wait for the Campaign versions before you get properly excited.

Now the only real question: which cult hero are you actually picking? Because if you tell me you're passing on 36-defending Akinfenwa, I don't believe you.
