FC 27 Weekend League: First Champions Times, How to Qualify, Rewards and What to Spend Your Tokens On
The right end time for your time zone, how many wins get you back in next week, and exactly what to buy with your Champions Tokens.

FC 27 Weekend League #1
First Weekend League of the year. Fresh squad, fresh hope, and a controller that hasn't been thrown yet.
EAFC 27 First Weekend League
Give it till Sunday.
The straight answer: the first FC 27 Weekend League is live right now. It opened on Friday 2 October 2026 at 7 PM UK time and closes on Monday 5 October at 8 AM UK time. You get one 15-match run, and every win moves you up a rank. Rewards are now coins plus Champions Tokens you spend in a token store, instead of packs. To get in, you need Champions Qualification Points from Rivals or Squad Battles, and the old Division 6 lock is gone.
That's the basics. The rest of this post is the stuff nobody else has done: the right end time for your time zone, how many wins get you back in next week, and exactly what to buy with your tokens.
- Live now: Fri 2 Oct, 7 PM BST → Mon 5 Oct, 8 AM BST. In India that's 11:30 PM Friday → 12:30 PM Monday.
- Format: one run, up to 15 matches, one rank per win.
- Qualifying: 1,000 Champions Qualification Points (community-tracked), earned in Rivals or Squad Battles. Division 6 is no longer required.
- Top reward: 15 wins = 250,000 coins + 450 Champions Tokens. Coins start at 5 wins.
- Next week: your wins also pay qualification points. 15 wins covers the full 1,000 on its own.
When does the first FC 27 Weekend League start and end?
The first FC 27 Weekend League runs from Friday 2 October 2026 at 7 PM BST to Monday 5 October 2026 at 8 AM BST. That's a 61-hour window. FC 27's Champions calendar uses the same Friday-to-Monday slot every week of the season, from October 2026 through to September 2027, according to fifauteam's FC 27 Champions calendar. Red Bull's FUT Champions guide lists the same window in Central European time.
Here it is in your time zone. I've checked every one of these, because a couple of guides out there have them an hour out.
| Region | Opens | Closes |
|---|---|---|
| UK (BST) | Fri 2 Oct, 7:00 PM | Mon 5 Oct, 8:00 AM |
| Central Europe (CEST) | Fri 2 Oct, 8:00 PM | Mon 5 Oct, 9:00 AM |
| US East (EDT) | Fri 2 Oct, 2:00 PM | Mon 5 Oct, 3:00 AM |
| US West (PDT) | Fri 2 Oct, 11:00 AM | Mon 5 Oct, 12:00 AM (midnight Sun) |
| UAE (GST) | Fri 2 Oct, 10:00 PM | Mon 5 Oct, 11:00 AM |
| India (IST) | Fri 2 Oct, 11:30 PM | Mon 5 Oct, 12:30 PM |
| Sydney | Sat 3 Oct, 4:00 AM (AEST) | Mon 5 Oct, 6:00 PM (AEDT) |
SYDNEY PLAYERS, WATCH THIS ONE
Your clocks go forward on Sunday 4 October, right in the middle of the weekend. So the finish is 6 PM on Monday, not 5 PM. Anyone who did the maths on Friday and didn't account for it is losing an hour of games.
KEY TAKEAWAY
US West players, your deadline is midnight on Sunday night. Not Monday morning. Don't leave five games for "after work Monday".
How do you qualify for FC 27 Weekend League?
You qualify by earning Champions Qualification Points (CQP) in Division Rivals or Squad Battles. Community trackers put the threshold at 1,000 points, and you no longer need to reach Division 6 first. That's the biggest change from FC 26.
EA confirmed three things in its FC 27 launch update:
✓ EA CONFIRMED
- The Division 6 requirement has been removed.
- CQP can be earned in both Rivals and Squad Battles.
- Champions rewards themselves pay out more CQP, so a good weekend helps you get back in.
COMMUNITY-TRACKED: THE 1,000
EA's notes don't actually print the 1,000 number. It comes from trackers like fifauteam's FC 27 rewards page and matches Red Bull's guide. Every source I read uses 1,000, but the in-game Champions tile is the final word.
How many Rivals wins does it take to qualify?
Honestly, nobody can give you a clean per-win number yet, because EA hasn't published one. One tracker lists Rivals CQP as a per-win amount. The page it pulls from, fifauteam's FC 27 Rivals rewards, lists CQP as your weekly Rivals reward by division instead: 1,000 in Elite, 750 in Division 1, 500 in Division 3, 400 in Divisions 4 and 5, and 150 in Division 6.
The pattern either way is the same. The higher your division, the faster you qualify. Division 1 to 3 players get there quickest. Division 6 and below is a grind.
Can you qualify for Weekend League with Squad Battles only?
Probably not on Squad Battles alone, at least based on everything tracked so far. EA says Squad Battles now award CQP, but it hasn't said how many per match. The only Squad Battles CQP source the databases have tracked is a Season 1 objective worth 250 CQP in total, for 10, 12 and 15 wins on World Class or higher, per FUTBIN's objective page. FUTBIN now lists it as expired.
So treat Squad Battles as a top-up, not a route. If a guide tells you 15 Squad Battles wins gets you into Champions, ask it where the other 750 points come from.
Do you still have to play Play-Offs in FC 27?
EA's FC 27 launch notes don't mention Play-Offs at all, and trackers list 1,000 CQP as direct entry to Finals. fifauteam's rewards page also says the old Challengers stage is no longer available.
Not every source agrees, though. A Südostschweiz report on the first Weekend League still describes a Play-Offs step before Finals, and EA's general Champions help page still talks about Play-Offs too. That help page isn't specific to FC 27.
My read: go by the Champions tile in game. If it shows Finals as available, you're in.
Can you still get into this weekend's Weekend League?
Yes, if you hit the threshold before the window closes. EA's Champions help page says that once you reach the required points, you're entered into the current event automatically. So a Saturday Rivals grind can still get you into this one. Just leave yourself time for 15 games before Monday morning.
FC 27 Weekend League rewards: what does every rank pay?
Each win moves you up one rank, from Contender V at 1 win to Elite I at 15 wins. Coins start at 5 wins, and every rank pays Champions Tokens and, from 2 wins up, more qualification points. There are no packs in the rank rewards any more. You pick your own from the token store.
| Wins | Rank | Coins | Champions Tokens | CQP |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 15 | Elite I | 250,000 | 450 | 1,000 |
| 14 | Elite II | 145,000 | 350 | 900 |
| 13 | Elite III | 105,000 | 275 | 800 |
| 12 | Elite IV | 75,000 | 215 | 700 |
| 11 | Elite V | 50,000 | 165 | 600 |
| 10 | Champions I | 35,000 | 135 | 500 |
| 9 | Champions II | 25,000 | 110 | 450 |
| 8 | Champions III | 15,000 | 90 | 400 |
| 7 | Champions IV | 10,000 | 75 | 350 |
| 6 | Champions V | 5,000 | 60 | 300 |
| 5 | Contender I | 2,500 | 50 | 200 |
| 4 | Contender II | 0 | 40 | 150 |
| 3 | Contender III | 0 | 30 | 100 |
| 2 | Contender IV | 0 | 20 | 50 |
| 1 | Contender V | 0 | 15 | 0 |
Coins and tokens match across Insider Gaming's rewards breakdown and fifauteam. The CQP column is from fifauteam and lines up with futmind's Finals rewards table.
Look at the jump at the top. Going from 13 wins to 15 is worth an extra 145,000 coins. That's more than four times what a whole 10-win run pays. The last two games of your run are where the money is.
COINS BY WINS · 10 TO 15
EA says FC 27 pays more coins than FC 26 did. FC 26's rewards changed across its seasons, so I'm not putting up a side-by-side until there's a fair like-for-like.
How many times can you play Weekend League per weekend?
Once. You get one entry and up to 15 matches per weekend. fifauteam lists one entry per competition, and EA's help page says Finals entry is final once you're in. One guide out there says you can do three 15-match runs. You can't.
When do you get your Weekend League rewards?
As soon as you finish all 15 matches, or when the event ends if you don't. EA's help page says there's no early exit from Finals. Play your 15, or wait until Monday morning.
How many Weekend League wins do you need to qualify for next week?
15 wins gives you all 1,000 points on its own. Anything less leaves a gap you fill with Rivals or Squad Battles. Nobody else is doing this maths, and it's the bit that changes how you treat your last few games.
Wins pay twice now: coins and tokens this week, qualification points for next week.
Here's the gap at every win count, and the lowest weekly Rivals reward (from fifauteam's tracked numbers) that closes it:
| Your wins | CQP earned | Still needed | Rivals weekly reward that covers it |
|---|---|---|---|
| 15 | 1,000 | 0 | Already qualified |
| 14 | 900 | 100 | Division 7 or higher |
| 13 | 800 | 200 | Division 5 or higher |
| 12 | 700 | 300 | Division 5 or higher |
| 11 | 600 | 400 | Division 5 or higher |
| 10 | 500 | 500 | Division 3 or higher |
| 9 | 450 | 550 | Division 2 or higher |
| 8 | 400 | 600 | Division 2 or higher |
| 7 | 350 | 650 | Division 1 or higher |
| 6 | 300 | 700 | Division 1 or higher |
| 5 or fewer | 200 or less | 800+ | Elite, or a full Rivals grind |
This uses community-tracked numbers and assumes the 1,000 threshold stays and points stack across modes. EA hasn't published either.
Here's what that means in game. If you're Division 5 and you're on 10 wins, win number 11 is the one that means a normal Rivals week gets you back in. If you're Division 1, 7 wins already does it. So don't tank your last few games on a heavy-legs squad because "the rewards don't change much". The qualification points do.
What should you spend Champions Tokens on?
If you finish on 8 wins or more, buy tradeable packs first: the 2× 86+ pack for 75 tokens, or the 3× 88+ pack for 200. Below that, the 15-token 83+ pick and the 25-token TOTW player are your best value. Both are tradeable.
EA says the store includes Team of the Week players with the red Champions design, Evolutions and celebrations. Here's how I'd spend your tokens based on your win count. Tradeable (T) or untradeable (U) is taken from Insider Gaming's store list, and it matches fifauteam's:
| Your wins | Tokens | My pick |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 15 | 1× 83+ 1 of 5 Player Pick (T) |
| 2 | 20 | 83+ Pick (T) + 2× 77+ Players Pack (T) |
| 3 | 30 | 1× TOTW Player (T) + 2× 77+ Pack (T) |
| 4 | 40 | 1× TOTW Player (T) + 83+ Pick (T) |
| 5 | 50 | 20× 81+ Players Pack (T) for SBC fodder |
| 6–7 | 60–75 | Bank it, or grab the 2× 86+ Pack (T) at 75 |
| 8–9 | 90–110 | 2× 86+ Pack (T) + 83+ Pick (T) |
| 10–11 | 135–165 | 82+ TOTW 1 of 5 Pick (T) for 100, plus a TOTW Player (T) |
| 12–14 | 215–350 | 3× 88+ Players Pack (T) for 200 |
| 15 | 450 | 3× 88+ Pack (T), then bank or spend the rest |
Why tradeable first?
✓ TRADEABLE FIRST
Because a tradeable 86+ you don't need is coins. An untradeable one you don't need is SBC fodder at best.
CLUB-BUILDER ROUTE
If you're a club-builder who fodders everything anyway, the untradeable 5× 86+ pack (125) and 10× 84+ pack (100) give you more bodies per token.
You don't have to spend them this week. Trackers like FDayTalk's FC 27 tokens guide say tokens carry over between weekends. So if you finish on 6, banking for the 75-token tradeable pack next week is a fine play. I haven't seen a confirmed expiry date, so check the store's timer.
Buy limits for each item aren't listed anywhere I've checked, so look in the store before planning on two of the same pack.
KEY TAKEAWAY
15 tokens for a tradeable 83+ pick is the best tiny spend in the store. 200 for three tradeable 88+ players is the best big one.
Weekend League mix-ups to ignore
Some of what's floating around about the first Weekend League is wrong. If an AI answer or a guide tells you any of this, it's out of date or off:
- "You can play up to three 15-match runs." No. One entry per weekend.
- "It starts at 3 PM US Eastern" or "5 AM Sydney". It's 2 PM Eastern and 4 AM Sydney. UK is still on summer time, so 7 PM UK is 6 PM UTC.
- "You need Division 6 to qualify." That was FC 26. EA removed it for FC 27.
- "15 Squad Battles wins gets you in." The only tracked Squad Battles CQP source tops out at 250 points.
- "The 2× 77+ token pack is untradeable." Two store lists mark it tradeable.
How do you get the most out of your first Weekend League?
Play your games in short sessions, finish all 15 before Monday morning, and fix your squad's weak spot before Saturday night. Red Bull's guide makes the same point about taking breaks between games, and anyone who's played one Weekend League knows why. Three losses on the bounce is when the controller starts flying.
A few habits that actually help:
- Front-load your games on Friday night or Saturday. Leaving eight games for Sunday night is how you end up on 9 wins and a sore head.
- Fix the defence first. FC 27's AI doesn't bail out bad defending anymore. If you're leaking goals, our guide on how to defend in EA FC 27 is the fastest win you'll get.
- Upgrade one position, not eleven. Our best defenders, strikers and starter squad for EAFC 27 post has the budget options.
- Check this week's in-forms. FC 27 TOTW 3 is in packs all weekend, and some of the 80-rated cards are cheap upgrades if you're short in one spot.
Squad not where it needs to be tonight? You can top up with FC 27 coins from WhatsGaming and grab that one card before your next game. Delivery runs through Comfort Trade or Player Auction, and every order comes with a 72-hour money-back guarantee. We're rated 4.7 on Trustpilot from about 1,768 reviews, and 94% of them are 5-star.
Keep the bragging rights.
60 hours of grinding? No thanks. Coin delivery starts instantly, backed by 100K+ players and a 72h money-back guarantee.
FAQ: FC 27 WEEKEND LEAGUE
When does the first FC 27 Weekend League end?
The first Weekend League of FC 27 ends on Monday 5 October 2026 at 8 AM BST. That's 3 AM EDT, midnight PDT on Sunday night, 12:30 PM IST and 6 PM in Sydney. It opened on Friday 2 October at 7 PM BST.
How many points do you need to qualify for FC 27 Weekend League?
Community trackers put the FC 27 Champions threshold at 1,000 Champions Qualification Points. You earn them in Division Rivals and Squad Battles. EA has removed the Division 6 requirement, but its patch notes don't state the exact points figure, so check the Champions tile in game.
How many games are in FC 27 Weekend League?
It has up to 15 matches, and you get one entry per weekend. Every win moves you up one rank, from Contender V at 1 win to Elite I at 15 wins.
What do you get for 15 wins in FC 27 Weekend League?
15 wins gets you Elite I: 250,000 coins, 450 Champions Tokens and 1,000 Champions Qualification Points. That's enough points to qualify for the next Weekend League on its own, based on the community-tracked 1,000 threshold.
Can you qualify for FC 27 Champions with Squad Battles?
Squad Battles awards Champions Qualification Points in FC 27, but EA hasn't said how many per match. The only tracked Squad Battles source so far was a Season 1 objective worth 250 points in total. Plan on Rivals doing most of the work.
Do Champions Tokens carry over in FC 27?
Yes. Trackers report that Champions Tokens carry over between weekends, so you can bank them for a bigger store item. No expiry date has been confirmed, so check the store timer in game.
The bottom line
- The first Weekend League closes Monday 5 October at 8 AM BST. One run, 15 games, no do-overs.
- Wins pay twice now: coins and tokens this week, qualification points for next week. 15 wins requalifies you on its own.
- Spend tokens on tradeable packs first. The 83+ pick at 15 tokens and the 3× 88+ pack at 200 are the standout buys.
