FUT Match Earnings - How to Avoid Coin Wipe while Trading Players

In the previous year, FIFA 22 was made slightly easier because we had Early Access which gave us 10 hours of game time and we were able to make coins by playing Divisions or/and Squad Battles, even if it was only 5-6K coins, it was enough to make a decent transaction on the Transfer Market. Unfortunately, this year, EA Sports did not release Web App and Early Access at the same time. FIFA 23 web app is the only source where you can make coins coming from those players who do open their loyalty packs and quick-sell their players on the market.

On the other hand, with trading players without earning coins through the game itself, there will be a change of getting a ban or a coin wipe by EA in FIFA 23. So, let's see how you can avoid it and stay safe in FIFA Ultimate Team 23.

FUT Trading Safety Tips - Low Match Earnings

One of the fastest ways of getting coins in FUT is by trading cards on the Market. However, EA Sports enforced some very strict anti-cheat rules that may not be in your favor if you ever cross them. In some cases, EA may not even declare the issue with an email. As we mentioned above, trading players on the FUT market while you have below the minimum average of coins can get you a warning regarding getting banned or locked out of the market for good. For those who don't know, the act of searching continually and rapidly for players at a certain price point (usually lower market values) to find cards for a cheaper price and high resale value is called Sniping.

Devastatedly sniping low-priced cards could be risky, especially, if your account is not involved in the game itself much.

There are other wrong-doings or suspicious transactions that can lead to transfer market ban without even knowing. But how should you know if you're at risk of getting banned?

  • Trading high-rated desirable cards without having enough coins

  • Packing or winning on an open bid

  • Bidding on 82+ rated cards on the open market
  • Sold via FUTBIN at fair market price on the FUT market

What is Match Earnings?

Match Earnings are self-explanatory. They are the amount of FIFA 23 Coins you have earned by playing matches in the Ultimate Team mode. Usually playing Squad Battles or Division Rivals will give you 500~1000 FUT 23 Coins per match.

In addition to match coins, you would also get FUT Packs, when you progress and gain XP. When you open the packs, you could get players or even some more FIFA Coins out of the blue. Completing SBCs is also helpful, so the coins you might get from the packs from the Squad Building Challenges, will be counted as match earnings as well. All in all, these earnings will be accumulated and Leaderboards, where you can check your overll earnings and some other useful stats about your account.

In order to see your match earnings, do as follows:

FIFA 23 Match Earnings

As you can see, you need to open Leaderboards, Match Earnings, Click on Filter button, in the Compare dropdown choose Friends, appply, and there you can see your own account's earnings in FUT.

Now, the qestion is, how much should the match earnings be, so stay safe while trading?

Minimum Required Match Earnings for Safe FUT Trading

There isn't a specific amount to state for Match Earnings, but anything below 30-35k has a risk of ban, especially if you're sniping and making more than 500k FUT Coins through trade or auction.

So, if your account is new, is empty, has no match earnings, has not played FIFA much (no matter if you win or lose), then it's recommended to give it a break, take some time to play the game, and when you have enough match earnings, go on with trading players, sniping, bronze pack method, or whatever method you prefer to gain lots of FUT Coins.

What to do if you get a ban from EA for trading players with low Match Earnings

Ban might be imposed within hours of selling the card, however, if you received an email from EA Sports informing you that you've been banned or coins are wiped, there are some things you can do (doesn't matter if you follow up these steps on your phone browser or PC):

  1. Visit help.ea.com
  2. Sign in to your account that has the ban or suspension
  3. Click Contact us at the top of any page on EA Help.
  4. Select the game that your account was banned or suspended from (FIFA 23).
  5. Choose your platform.
  6. Select Manage my account, then Banned or suspended account.
  7. Fill out any other details below.
    • For example, if you picked Origin, it might ask you if you are accessing the game through an Origin Access membership.
  8. Select the contact option.

And from there, you'll be guided on how to recover your account. While players who are banned might not be able to trade cards on the Web App or Companion App, they are not totally locked out of FIFA 23 Ultimate Team trading. Their in-game economies will be open as normal but if you want to learn how to transfer FIFA coins without getting banned, don't forget to check this blog and make sure you stay away from suspicious activities.
